I got my grey postcard in the mail today for dragoncon membership! Since it was grey, I almost didn't see it in the midst of all the other mail. But it was there, rerouted from Michigan. Now I can sell/transfer my pink membership card. So I did manage to get the eternal membership.

Still working on costumes, but I get to drop the Share one since Michael Shanks cancelled. I so wanted to tell him that I play him in real life (minus the world traveling). Maybe next time

Dragoncon Costume Prep

Done: Princess Leia (Ceremonial) and Cersei (nemisis of Wonder Woman)

Needs Repairs:
ShadowCat (Kitty Pryde) - but latches on the bad seam and make new X-men buckle and get a star of David
Scarlet Witch (Wanda) - need to add a couple of jewels to the skirt George Perez signed, also need to reinforce the book covers, make new bracelets and earrings, and add clips to the cape
Elektra (DC) - need to make leg bands that actually stay up without tape and make the shoulders of the bodice wider
Share (Stargate) - need to repair snake headpiece and put clip on neckpiece
Hathor (Stargate) - need to repair Goauld hand device and Hathor's overgarment
Koriana (Pern) - need to repair my firelizards, also need to make a Fort Hold badge and apprentice harper knots for David's Kindan

To Do:
Nyota Uhura - Red Dress needs to be made and holsters for belt. Need to buy a communicator pin
She-Ra - Need to make the sword, create a Kowl backpack, and make the white suede skirt. Need to pay for the leather commissioned bodice, armbands, and head piece.

Prospectus done

I just finished the last touches on the prospectus. It is 44 pages (was 80 before I put most into footnotes, and shortened to be able to read it in 60 minutes). And the bibliography that goes with it is another 20 pages.

So, in other words, I already have a great start on writing the dissertation.
Chapter One - mostly done
Chapter Two - a little work done
Chapter Three - alot of work done
Chapter Four - alot of work done
Chapter Five - a little work done
Chapter Six - alot of work done
Chapter Seven - no work done
Appendix - translation just needs to be typed and polished

I was walking down the liquor aisle at the local grocery store on my way to the fish department and saw bottles of Zwack. If you haven't tried Zwack; its like robitussin and alum with strong alcohol.

It's enough to look at other people drink it to know that I never want to. But it is fun to watch others try it.

Tomorrow I'm going to Marmalade Dog, so I made my first Pathfinder PC.

Gabriel (after the angel) or Vala (after Stargate)- can't decide on name yet

She will become an Arcane Archer with Celestial Bloodline
So right now she is just a ranger.

Str 16, Dex 19, Con 12, Int 7, Wis 7, Cha 13

I imaging her being alot like Cersei from Game of Thrones, if Cersei could act like she wanted to (like Jaime).

Marme Dog is the same weekend Taken premieres, so I'll have to wait to see it.

So for DragonCon this year, I decided on a few costumes:
I'll keep the Ultimate Kitty Pryde, Hathor from SG1, and Princess Leia.
New Costumes I think will be Ultimate Elektra and the Scarlet Witch
I also hope that I'll have a leather She-Ra outfit by then.

So I will be making a few costumes, just wonder which ones I should do this year...
I am doing one from a Todd McCaffrey book and one from a Margaret Weis book.

But I want to do a couple comic ones too - something I can make into two costumes. SO either
1. Circe (from Wonder Woman and also in league with Lex Luther - so a good villain) and Shadow Cat X-Treme (Kitty Pryde)

OR

2. Elektra (the top from the movie, and the egyptian stuff, and the skirt like bottom from the comic) and the Scarlet Witch from X-Men
